Funniest Story Contest!

We at Cybersnacks want to thank everyone who participated in our Funniest Story Contest. We received many emails and agonized over which story to select.

We proudly announce the "Cuttlefish Story" from Trixie as our big winner:

“I have a Native American friend who likes to try different ethnic foods. I have often shared my goodies with him. Once I gave him a bag of shredded cuttlefish amongst some other goodies. The next time I saw him, he told me the noodles were weird. He boiled the cuttlefish like Top Ramen.”

Here are some of the stories submitted to us:

One year my husband and I took an early flight to Kaua'i. Upon landing, we rented a car and headed straight for the beach. I put on my swimsuit in the car, then put my shirt and shorts back on over the swimsuit. We took our packages of li hing ginger and li hing mango and strolled down the beach. Although it was early in the morning there were already a few people on the beach. Everyone seemed to be so friendly--smiling at us as we walked by.

After we had been walking and munching on our snacks for awhile, my husband put his arm around my waist. "What's this?" he said. I was puzzled. As I felt the back of my waist, we discovered that as the result of changing my clothes in the car, my bra caught on the waistband of my shorts. It was dangling there like a tail! No wonder all of those people on the beach smiled at us! I was so embarrassed. So I just told myself that I didn't know any of those people and I probably would never see them again.

I have been ordering your delicious snacks via fax for many years. Last year, I finally had a chance to visit your store in person. I brought back all of my (and my family and friends') favorite Li Hing flavored snacks, like li hing arare, li hing dried mango, li hing gummies etc...I also brought back some delicious li hing powder! Mmmmm! (That I now carry with me at all times in my purse. You never know when you may be watching a movie with hot buttered popcorn, and what better to top it off with?!?) Another great discovery while in Hawaii last year were delicious li hing margheritas!! Mmmm!!!

This year, a few friends and I decided to celebrate cinco de mayo at a local Mexican restaurant. We had some explaining to do when the waitress caught us putting this "special powder" in our margheritas as she passed our table!

Every time we enjoy a li hing snack, it reminds us of this story which continues to bring us tons of smiles. Wholesale Unlimited...you have the most delicious super ono li hing snacks in the world!

Being a local girl from Hawaii I always get asked about what we eat in Hawaii. One day my best friend here in Florida who is "haole" of course was bold enough to try the Wet Li Hing Mui and Sweet Whole Plums that I had ordered from you guys a while back.

Anyways, it's hard to describe the various faces that she had made while bravely tasting our onolicious treats and trying to be polite at the same time but all I can say is my son and I were laughing our butts off!! Her face looked like a dried-up prune and she had tears in her eyes....Remember, all the while trying to be polite while grabbing a large glass of water to drink! hahaha You had to be there to grasp the hilariousness of the situation but she ended her experience by saying, "That was very interesting, now what was that again?" (still tearing in her eyes) hehe I told her that I was used to it because I grew up with it all my life the same way she grew up with Funnel Cake, biscuits with sausage gravy for breakfast, etc.... It's a cultural thing for us locals in Hawaii..... I told her "Broke Da Mouth!"
